Nostalgia Electronics

I really love to bake and I especially love to bake delicious sweet goodies! I’ve spent many minutes looking at adorable cake pops on Pinterest and wondered how I could make them myself.  Well I’ve found out how – the Nostalgia Electrics Cake Pop and Donut Hole Bakery!

Nostalgia Electronics Cake Pop & Donut Hole Bakery ReviewThe Nostalgia Electrics Cake Pop and Donut Hole Bakery came with everything I need to bake and decorate my cake pops – the appliance, cake pop sticks . I was really excited to try it out and when it arrived I immediately made plans for my mom, sister and I to have some fun baking and decorating our very own cake pops. I decided to go with a Valentine’s theme since it is only one short week away. So, using a simple box of funfetti cake mix, frosting, sprinkles and some candy conversation hearts we got started. I just mixed the cake mix per the instructions on the box while my Cake Pop maker preheated. Then you just place the batter into each of the 7 spots on the Cake Pop Maker and wait 5 minutes for each batch. When you lift the lid the cake pops are all done and we just used a spoon to scoop them out and placed them on some wax paper to cool before decorating.

Cake Pop Maker ReviewThere were a few times when we would overfill it and it would pour over but it was easy to pull away and left the cake pop unharmed. It has a nonstick surface so no residue was left behind and you could start immediately on your next batch. We finished baking an entire box of batter in only 25 minutes.

Decorating them took us the longest only because I decided I wanted to frost them. Dipping them would have been way easier and next time I am for sure going to dip them in some chocolate or candy coating instead! However, they did turn out pretty darling using the frosting if you ask me! Here are our results –

The Nostalgia Cake Pop and Donut Hole maker cooked the cake pops perfectly. It was really a lot of fun to make them and I love that the cleanup was pretty easy and I didn’t have to scrub it clean. Once it cooled all I needed to do was wipe it down with a damp cloth. I’m looking forward to making more cake pops and getting creative with my creations. I love having this neat new tool in my kitchen and am very pleased with how easy it is to use, how nicely it bakes the cake and how fast it all was. Plus, when your done the cord wraps around the bottom of the unit and it’s compact so it doesn’t take up a lot of room in your cabinets and if your like me and love lots of little gadgets – is great!
