Backyard Summer Fun on Their Magic Carpet Swing from Magic Cabin {Review & Giveaway}

This summer has been so much fun. Last summer Loo Loo was a little over a year and her and Pinky didn’t play together much yet.

These days they play together all day long and love spending long afternoons together in our backyard.

If you read my last post you know that we recently gave their $200 Craigslist playscape a makeover. It’s looking great but we needed some fun extras on it. It only came with one swing and we wanted to get something that the girls could enjoy and have fun on together.

Magic Cabin has been a longtime favorite catalog of mine for fun unique gifts for the girls. They have lots of neat summer toys and activities to choose from and when I saw the new Magic Carpet Swing I knew the girls would love it!

It arrived in a large box and was easy to put together. Within 10 minutes it was ready to hook up to our playscape. The girls could hardly wait to get on it and the moment it was ready they climbed right on and started swinging away.

It looks just like a magic carpet complete with tassels on all four corners and he colors are bright and beautiful.

There is plenty of room for both of our girls on it (the actual measurement is 30″W x 40″L) and it even has a nice cushioned edge so if they are near an edge and when they are climbing up it doesn’t dig into them.

It’s made of a strong and durable double-stitched polyester with mesh that allow liquids to pass through. This helps it dry off faster after the rain.

It holds a maximum of 250lbs so I thought I’d give it a try too :) I’m a big kid at heart and I can’t resist a nice swing. I’m too am in love with the Magic Carpet swing just as much as my girls. I lay in it often and it’s kind of like a hammock and very fun and relaxing to swing back and forth.

Magic Carpet Swing Review

Magic Carpet Swing Review

My girls will climb on with me and we’ll snuggle and look up and find cloud shapes. It’s one of our favorite things to do now – even my husband swings with the girls and loves it!

They’ve even gotten brave enough with it now to stand up on it and swing.

Needless to say we’ve definitely put the 250lbs limit to the test and it holds up. Even though we have it attached to our playscape you can also attach it to a tree. We don’t have any large enough but can you imagine how much more whimsical it would be?!

Here is a short clip of my girls having fun on their Magic Carpet Swing my oldest actually fell asleep on it in the video (yes, it’s that relaxing, it put a 4 year old to sleep!) –

    I like the fabric mushroom play house. It looks really well made and durable. I also like that it has 2 doors. Both of my kids seem to push in and out at the same time in play houses with just 1 door.

    Hi, thank you for showing this! My daughter really, really wants the swing for Christmas, but we’re unsure of how it attaches to swing set. (Tree branch in backyard is much too high to use.) Did you purchase the Easy Tree Hanger as well? Any help you can provide is much appreciated!
