A Day Late : Wordless Wednesday : Christmas Morning

I know things have been quiet around here and I have to apologize. I’ve been enjoying some much needed time off with my husband and enjoying all this extra time with Baby Digger! It’s been YEARS since we’ve all been able to enjoy some time off work together and I can’t even express how wonderful and relaxing it has been. For the first time I’ve also started a new book, The Hunger Games. I can’t even tell you when the last time I read a book was and now I can’t put it down! I just finished book 1 and am starting in on book 2 :)

We had a wonderful Christmas morning! Baby Digger was really into opening her gifts in the morning, what a difference from the little baby that couldn’t walk, crawl or talk last year! This year she was running around, opening her gifts and full of excitement all day. We couldn’t get her to take a nap for the life of us! But, it was so much fun! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and enjoy your New Year!

I know what you mean about reading a book. I have a few books on my shelf that I have yet to finish or even start. I heard the Hunger Games is really good!! Love the photo of your baby! :)

My little girl was the same way! This was the first year she could really open presents and get excited about Santa! They are so much fun at this age! I hope you had fun spending time with the hubby, I know I did! My hubby had a 4 day weekend off for the first time in 3 years! :-)

I’m glad for you guys having time off at the same time and spending some family time together. I know how hard it is, my husband has gone without vacation for almost 3 years now.

I am so glad you guys got some time off. Especially with the holidays, it is so nice to just have some down time and hang out as a family. I think sometimes you forget how important that is. We did some of that to over Christmas and it was so nice to reconnect as a family. Happy New Year!!
